Scholarships are available for every interest.
While a career in construction can be started with little to no debt, BYF has partnered with other organizations to further reduce barriers to training and education.
These craft training scholarships are offered at various levels and for different interests.
Due March 1 – $2,000
Recognizing that both non-profit organizations have a shared interest in supporting students who have chosen a Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathway, NTHS and NCCER have partnered to provide a unique scholarship opportunity.
These funds are available exclusively for current NTHS student members who are currently studying a construction-related discipline. Scholarship winners will be chosen based on their academic merit.
Due: March 2022 – Up to $5,000
The Higher Education Scholarship program was established by Folds of Honor to provide post-secondary scholarship assistance for spouses and dependents of our nation’s service members. BYF is proud to donate to Folds of Honor to help stand in the financial gap of dependents adversely affected by war and honor their sacrifice by educating their legacy.
Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited technical or trade school program that results in a certificate or diploma or an undergraduate program that results in a bachelor’s degree. Applicants must also be a dependent or spouse of a service member.
Due: June 2022 – $1,000
The AGC Education and Research Foundation is committed to taking steps to ensure students have the technical skills needed to immediately enter into the commercial construction workforce by offering scholarships to those pursuing a construction education. BYF has contributed to this scholarship to help students entering craft training or technical programs.
Applicant can be anyone who is planning to attend a technical school or approved craft training program in any discipline of construction, including a high school senior, military member or postsecondary student. More details can be found on the AGC website.
Due: July 2 – $2,000
The Trimmer Construction Education Fund (TCEF) is a national committee of Associated Builders and Contractors that funds efforts to train and retain the construction industry workforce. BYF has partnered with ABC to provide scholarships for aspiring craft professions and support future leaders.
Applicants, including high school seniors, military members, veterans or post-secondary students, must be pursuing craft professional training in the construction industry through an NCCER accredited program or state/federally approved apprenticeship in a merit shop training facility.
Due: Fall 2021 – $500
The Human Resources Construction Council (HRCC) is a select group of HR professionals, employed by U.S.-based merit shop contractors, who support the domestic construction industry. NCCER and BYF have partnered with the council to provide scholarships for individuals who want to pursue a construction-related career path.
Applicants, including high school seniors, military members, veterans or post-secondary students, must be planning to attend or currently attending a technical school or approved craft training program.
