Training and Education Scholarships

Scholarships are available for every interest.

While a career in construction can be started with little to no debt, BYF has partnered with other organizations to further reduce barriers to training and education.

These craft training scholarships are offered at various levels and for different interests.

Due: June 2022 – $2,500

The Bechtel Group Foundation partners on efforts that use engineering and construction skills to improve quality of life worldwide. The Foundation and Build Your Future have teamed up to provide the Bechtel Group Foundation Scholarship for students interested in or currently training to become an electrician, pipefitter, millwright, instrumentation technician, or emerging renewable energy craft professional. 

Requirements
Applicant must be a high school or community college student pursuing a training certificate or 2-year degree in the skilled trades at an NCCER-accredited program or a state/federally approved apprenticeship program in a merit shop facility.  

  • Amount: $2,500
  • Open Date: April 15, 2022
  • Close Date: June 30, 2022

Due: June 2022 – $1,000

The AGC Education and Research Foundation is committed to taking steps to ensure students have the technical skills needed to immediately enter into the commercial construction workforce by offering scholarships to those pursuing a construction education. BYF has contributed to this scholarship to help students entering craft training or technical programs.

Requirements
Applicant can be anyone who is planning to attend a technical school or approved craft training program in any discipline of construction, including a high school senior, military member or postsecondary student. More details can be found on the AGC website.
